Adoption is the best way to welcome a pet into your home and heart. Many local dog stores and boutique shops host adoption events.

If you’re interested in some industry numbers, Petsmart stores nationwide held adoption events for 3 days in November 2009 which resulted in over 16,000 pets finding new homes.

Dog lovers can also visit their local shelter for homeless pets.
