Beat the summer heat by spending your Sunday afternoon (August 23rd at 2 pm) at the Museum Of The City Of New York and go home with a rescue dog. Photographer Charlotte Dumas will speak about her portraits of New York City shelter dogs, now on view in “Dutch Seen: New York Rediscovered.”
Followed by a discussion with dog handlers from Animal Care & Control of New York City about their work in rescuing, caring for, and finding homes for homeless and abandoned animals throughout the five boroughs. The event will be preceded by a “meet & greet” with several shelter dogs available for adoption on the Museum’s front terrace.
