July 31st, 2009 | by Sweetie The Papillion

Some manhole covers in New York City can shock your four legged friend. To avoid these deadly missteps and learn more about shock prevention for both you and your dog, please attend this free event on Saturday (August 1st) in Brooklyn. Travis Evans will demonstrate a much safer walking technique in Prospect Park. Also in attendance will be Richard Novick (Park Slope veterinarian and lawyer). This event will be held in Prospect Park (at Bartel Pritchard Square Parking Lot at 15th St.) from 9 am – 5 pm, please make certain to bring lots of water for your dog as it will be in the high 80s. If you can’t make it to this informative event, please visit Street Zaps, which has a plethora of information to make your summer walks with your dog a safer one.
