What are people feeding their dogs?

Before I started this site, the only dogs I really noticed were mine and the ones my dogs were sniffing.  However, lately I’ve been noticing everyone else’s and their hygiene is something that BLATANTLY sticks out (literally and figuratively).

Yesterday I was walking to the post office and was seeing a slew of big dogs and not the good kind of big dogs, the obese kind.  I’m not saying you have to feed your dogs better than yourselve, but if you’re making the commitment to raise a dog–raise it the right way.   Talk to your vet and find a sustainable suitable diet for your dog that fits within your budget.  I don’t expect you to spend more $40 and to be honest, neither does your dog–they have no idea what money is!

BUT I’ve seen it be worse on the other end of the spectrum:

My friend Matt in Miami feeds his dog Buffalo meat while all he consumed was ramen and Ketel One.

The ska band Less than Jake was named because the lead singer’s dog, Jake, was given lobster by his parents one night while he ate mac & cheese. You make a judgement on that!

Basically, be rational and read the ingredients to see what is going into your dog’s body–stay away from soy fillers, as you don’t wanna to always “clean up” after them.  But more importantly, remember they’re dogs, not people, so no lobster!
